7. Average Overseas Travel Duration of Japanese

Due to the two-day weekend becoming common in Japan, among many different reasons, the average number of days taken by Japanese people traveling overseas in 1998 jumped to 8.4 days from 7.8 in the previous year. However, there has been a drop in the figures for two years in succession.
