6. Average Overseas Spending by Japanese Travelers (2007)

Although figures for average overseas spending by Japanese travelers reveal a general downward trend, figures for 2007 showed an increase of 24,000 yen compared to figures from the previous year. Although there was an increase of 14,000 yen in travel fees, increases in fuel surcharges are also thought to be a major contributing factor.
