Total bookings for September fell short of figures for the same period in the previous year for all destinations as a result of the lack of a long string of consecutive holidays compared to the year before.

Bookings for America/Canada recovered significantly over July and August following reprieve from the effects of the influenza epidemic the previous year.

Bookings for Thailand over July, August and September fell well short of numbers for the same period in the previous year due to continuing political unrest in the region.

E Bookings for America/Canada recovered following reprieve from the effects of the influenza epidemic the previous year.
E There was a dramatic fall in demand for travel to Thailand due to the continuing political unrest in the region.
E Demand for travel in the family segment is recovering.
E European destinations performed strongly on the back of the strong yen.

E Bookings are up compared to the previous year with the exception of Thailand and China.
E Bookings for China have slowed since tensions increased over issues concerning the Senkaku Islands.
E Bookings for Hawaii and Taiwan departing from Haneda Airport are performing strongly.
E New international flights from Haneda Airport are still in a trial and error stage.
