4月6日(火)、駐日シンガポール共和国特命全権大使ピーター・タン閣下がJATA坂巻会長を訪問し、国際交流の再開に向け、安心安全を担保する対策に関して意見交換されました。
「現在、シンガポールはオーストラリア、ニュージーランド、台湾、中国本土と『Air Travel Pass』を実施しており、IATAトラベルパスを運用開始する予定です。まず,トラベルパスを運用したアジアの国々とのネットワークを構築したら、国際交流の安心安全な再開ができると考えています」

坂巻会長は、「日本では、オリンピック・パラリンピックを安全に成功させることが重視されており、海外旅行の再開は少し先になるでしょう。渡航規制が緩和されて、海外旅行を再開した後、観光・旅行産業の復興に全力で努力していきます」と応じられました。

H.E. Mr. Peter Tan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Singapore, visited Mr. Nobuaki Sakamaki, Chairman of JATA, on April 6th, Tuesday

During the visit, Ambassador Tan exchanged opinions about implementing measures which will ensure the safe restart of international travel. “At present, Singapore has Air Travel Agreements with Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan and China Mainland and the government is planning to implement the IATA Travel Pass system for international travelers. It is important that we create a network with the countries in Asia that use vaccination certificates as this will help to safely restart international travel.”

“At present, the Japanese government’s attention is concentrated on the safe and successful realization of the Olympics and Paralympics. After the games, when the border restrictions are eased and international travel restarts, we will do our best for the recovery of the travel and tourism industry,” said Chairman Sakamaki in reply.
