8月4日(木)、モルディブ共和国大使館のハッサン・ソービル駐日特命全権大使がJATA志村理事長を訪問し、両国の交流と今後の発展についての期待や具体策についてお話されました。6月に同国で開催された国連世界観光機関(UNWTO)の主催の東アジア太平洋及び南アジア合同会議の内容を軸に、今年9月に3年ぶりに東京お台場で開催される「ツーリズムEXPOジャパン2022」でのアピールなど今後の観光交流の可能性について意見交換をしました。

懇談の様子

On Thursday,04 August, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary H.E.Hassan Sobir, the Embassy of Maldives to Japan, visited Mr.Shimura, President of JATA to discuss expectations and concrete measures for tourism exchange and future development between the two countries. The discussions centered on the East Asia Pacific and South Asia Joint Conference organized by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), which was held in the country in June, and on future possibilities for tourism exchange, including an appeal at Tourism Expo Japan 2022, which will be held in Odaiba, Tokyo, in September this year for the first time in three years.
