JATA髙橋会長を訪問

2月22日(火)、駐日エジプト・アラブ共和国特命全権大使モハメド・アブバクル・サレー・ファッターフ 閣下がJATA髙橋会長を訪問し、エジプトにおける観光産業の重要性と、エジプトと日本の観光の復興に向けての今後のパートナーシップについて話されました。

「国を挙げて、観光分野を次のステージに引き上げようと取り組んでいます。北海岸や紅海で多くのインフラが整備され、新しい首都国際空港が開港し、世界中から訪れる観光客を待っています。エジプトでは、紅海と地中海を結ぶ国内初の高速鉄道を建設中です。近い将来、状況が安定し、エジプトと日本の国際交流が再開されることを願っています。JATA会員のために視察旅行を企画したいと考えています」と述べられました。

 

髙橋会長は、「ツーリズムEXPOジャパンにご参加頂きありがとうございます。エジプトの観光産業はとても大きな可能性を持っていると考えています。ツーリズムEXPOジャパンは、改めて日本の消費者にエジプトのデスティネーションを紹介する本当に良い機会です」と応じました。

懇談の様子

His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Abubakr Saleh Fattah, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Japan, visited Mr. Hiroyuki Takahashi, Chairperson of JATA, on February 22, Tuesday

During the visit, Ambassador Abubakr talked about the importance of the tourism sector in Egypt and the future partnership for the recovery of the Japanese tourism to Egypt. “The whole country is working to elevate the tourism sector to the next stage. A lot of new infrastructure has been built on the Northern Coast and The Red Sea area, a new Capital International Airport opened its doors to its protentional visitors from all over the world. Egypt is building the country’s first high-speed railway that will connect the Red Sea to the Mediterranean. We hope that the situation will stabilize and international exchange between Egypt and Japan will be resumed in the nearest future. We are ready to organize an inspection trip in Egypt for Japanese travel agencies.”

“We are grateful for your participation in Tourism EXPO Japan. Egypt has great potential in the tourism industry and Tourism EXPO Japan is a really good opportunity to showcase it as a destination for the Japanese consumers, “said Chairperson Takahashi in reply.
