4月26日(火)、カナダ政府観光局国際担当副社長モリーン ライリー氏がJATA志村理事長を訪問し、国境再開後の海外旅行について意見交換されました。
「カナダ入国際に2回のワクチン接種者はPCR検査結果の提出が不要となりました。日本からの観光旅行より教育旅行、留学という重要なマーケットが先に活発化してきました。
5月24日～27日、旅行業界の商談会「ランデブー・カナダ2022」がトロントで開催される予定で、カナダ観光市場を変える機会になるでしょう。」と意欲を示しました。

志村理事長は、「日本入国の規制緩和よって国際往来の早期回復を期待しています。」とコメントしました。

Ms. Maureen Riley, Vice President International at Destination Canada, made a courtesy call to Mr. Tadashi Shimura, President of JATA, on April 26th, Tuesday

At the meeting with Mr. Shimura, Ms. Riley discussed about the recovery of international tourism when borders restrictions are lifted.

”Pre-entry tests are not required for fully vaccinated travelers entering Canada. At first, the educational tourism market such as school trips, study tours became more active rather than leisure tourism from Japan. The upcoming “Rendez-vous Canada 2022″, taking place in Toronto from May 24-27 will be a great opportunity for the tourism market in Canada.”

“We hope that the easing of border restrictions in Japan will lead to an early recovery of the international traffic between our countries.” said Mr. Shimura in reply.
